Caring for Hand-Painted Leather
Every pair is 100% napa leather, hand-painted as a one-of-a-kind piece. A little care goes a long way toward keeping both the leather and the painted design looking the way it did the day it arrived.
Everyday wear
Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth after wear to remove dust and surface dirt before it has a chance to settle into the grain.
Moisture
Leather and standing water don't mix. If your pair gets caught in rain, blot gently with a dry cloth (don't rub) and let them air dry naturally, away from direct heat, which can crack both the leather and the paint.
Storage
Store away from direct sunlight, which fades hand-painted designs over time. Shoe trees or stuffing with acid-free paper help the shape hold between wears.
Conditioning
A leather conditioner applied every few months keeps the material supple. Just test it on a small, hidden area first, since hand-painted finishes can react differently to products than plain leather.
